Over the last few decades, dozens of scientific studies have shown the immense health benefits of a plant-based (vegan) diet. Yet most people are unaware of that, and feel reluctant to adopt such a diet, believing that it won’t provide them with the essential nutrients they need.
A few years before he passed away, 100-year-old heart surgeon Dr. Ellsworth Wareham shared his story about why he’d been vegan for about half of his life (that is, for about 50 years!), and explained why it’s important that everyone ditches animal products and goes plant-based.
