This is a transcript of a video published here.
Andrew Tate is talking a lot about the Matrix and how to escape it. But the truth is that his advice is making people even more stuck in it.
Before I show you why, I want to state that I don’t hate Andrew, and my intention is not to attack him here. But since a lot of young men seem to follow his advice, I find it important to warn them about it – because it’s a trap!
So, let’s talk about the Matrix – a topic that I have been exploring for years now.
Firstly, what exactly is the Matrix, and what does Andrew Tate get so wrong about it?
Explained simply, the Matrix is a belief system generated by our culture and social systems that most people are indoctrinated into.
And that belief system shapes their perception of reality, and hence how they navigate it. It is a mental filter, so to speak, that colors our understanding of the world, just like sunglasses color what we see all around us.
But here’s the problem:
Most people aren’t aware that the Matrix exists, let alone that they are living in it. And what’s worse is that the Matrix is harming us, individually and collectively. Hence, it’s important that we break free from it.
Now, the Matrix partly consists of several interlinked beliefs, and in this video, we’re going to focus on one of them, concerning what it means to be successful in life, particularly as a man – which is the primary topic Andrew Tate likes to talk about. And, as you’ll soon find out, Andrew’s views on it are very much in alignment with those of the Matrix.
So, what does success mean to Andrew Tate?
In a nutshell, it means gaining plenty of financial wealth and the power derived from that.
And how exactly does one get rich and powerful?
By outcompeting other people.
And how does one become great at competing?
Well, essentially by working hard – or, at least, harder than one’s competitors.
That’s Andrew’s basic message about finding success.
And then, through his online course – or school, as he calls it – he offers tools and strategies that supposedly help people make a lot of money, which include improving one’s copywriting skills, investing in stock, crypto and NFTs, engaging in affiliate marketing and selling products on Amazon.
Now, let’s pause for a second and ponder on this:
Does Andrew Tate’s view of success differ from that of the Matrix?
Not really. For financial success is one of the basic things that modern society conditions people to see as their primary goal in life.
But what most fail to realize is that, in our competitive, scarcity-based economic system, not everyone can become rich, since for some to win in this system, others inevitably have to lose. In fact, only 1% of people win, earning insane amounts of money, while the rest lose, earning extremely little in comparison, some of them even earning nothing at all.
In other words, economic inequality is built-in to this system.
And Andrew understands that. But instead of urging his audience to radically transform this system in order to render economic competition obsolete and enable all people to live well through collaboration and sharing, Andrew Tate urges his audience to strive to become part of the 1%.
As you can understand, his message isn’t really about escaping the Matrix, but about becoming better at participating in it. “Don’t stay poor being controlled by the rich, become rich to control the poor.” And his reasoning for that is we can’t change the system.
So, again, his message isn’t about fighting against the Matrix, but about submitting to it. Yet sadly, due to the desperate circumstances a lot of gullible young men live in, many fall for Tate’s advice and start believing that by engaging in activities such as selling products on Amazon or investing in the stock market, they are fighting against the Matrix!
Now, the question is, does Andrew Tate truly believe in what he is preaching or is he emotionally manipulating his followers in order to financially exploit them?
I think it’s a mixture of both.
You see, Andrew has bought into our civilization’s core assumption of human nature, which is that people are inherently selfish, and hence that their main purpose in life is to compete against each other and maximize their self-interest. But that assumption has been debunked again and again.
I won’t go into this particular topic right now, but to anyone interested in hearing more of my thoughts on it, consider reading this article. There is one thing though that I want to point out here:
Anyone who has adopted such a dark view of human nature will not care much about deceiving and exploiting people. Quite the opposite, he or she would likely want to see them fail in their pursuit of financial success. For in their minds, less power for others means more power for themselves. In fact, Andrew openly admits that he’s glad most people are unable to succeed.
Despite such views, I don’t think Andrew Tate is evil or bad. I just think that, like most people, he is locked deeply inside the Matrix, which ironically, he believes to have escaped. But unlike most people, he is very popular, and hence his words can have a big influence on the world.
So, to anyone listening to him, beware of what he is trying to teach or sell you.
